DYKE UNDERGROUND: Spring Is Sprung!
A vetted play party for kinky dykes and the queers who love them

Saturday 3/21, 8pm-12am

at Sub Rosa, a private dungeon playspace

*Address is shared 24 hours before the event

Spring has arrived, time to feel alive! Light’s getting stronger by the day - but night’s even better when you’re gay! Let’s all get sprung and have some fun.

Dyke Underground is a private, intimate, pre-vetted dungeon play party exclusively for dykes, lesbians and dyke-adjacent queers (of the non cis-male variety), who are 21 and older. The venue is Sub Rosa PDX.

TERFs, SWERFs, and cis men need not apply. We do not tolerate racism, transphobia, or fatphobia at our events.

If you feel comfortable in kinky dyke community, this party is for you! If it sounds like a good fit, keep reading for all the party info. The application form is waiting for you at the bottom!

Venue Info

Dyke Underground happens in Sub Rosa, a private kinky playspace stocked with fetish furniture and gear. There is ample room to play at multiple stations, including a bondage bed, horizontal cage, restraint wall and more. There is a bathroom with a stall shower. See more at SubRosaPDX.com. The location is in SE Portland, and the address will be shared with ticket holders 24 hours before the event. Accessibility info is included below. Please note: The Gay Barn has special access to Sub Rosa because Emma is their Ops Manager. This is a unique opportunity to attend a play party in Sub Rosa with ticket sales open to the public (after vetting). They generally only do private rentals.

Registration Process

The first step to attend Dyke Underground is completing the application at the bottom of this page. We will respond as soon as possible with an invitation email. (Add TheGayBarn@proton.me to your contacts to make sure it doesn't end up in the spam folder!) Your invitation email will contain a promo code to access the ticket sale page on Forbidden Tickets. Once you buy your ticket, your spot is reserved! If you know anyone who might be interested in this party, please direct them to this page! No ticket sales are available without prior vetting.

COVID and Safety

All attendees are required to provide a negative rapid COVID test taken on the day of the event. Please stay home if you have been exposed to COVID or are experiencing symptoms of illness. We encourage the use of safer sex supplies. The Gay Barn provides gloves, condoms, and chucks, as well as disinfectant cleaning supplies for surfaces.

Accessibility Info

Sub Rosa is located in an old industrial building that poses a challenge to accessibility. There is no passenger elevator and stairs are required. The steps to the heavy exterior door do not have a handrail. The interior stairs include 12 steps to the landing and then 11 more, with handrails. If you would like assistance getting into the building and up to the space, please ask and we will make sure someone is there to meet you. We do not require masking at the event but we do test all participants for Covid. Anyone who wants to mask is of course welcome to do so. There is an air filter in the space. There will be hand sanitizer around for everyone to use. Please let us know if you have any questions on accessibility and we will do our best to answer.

Food and Drinks

The Gay Barn will provide a spread of sweet and savory snacks to enjoy. There is a cold and hot water dispenser in the space, and tea and coffee will be available.  All the food we provide is vegan with some vegetarian options (gluten-free or other allergen-friendly options available for those who request it).  Alcohol is allowed at the event (BYO), but getting drunk is not. Please use substances responsibly.

Dungeon Rules

- Get consent before making physical contact with anyone (sexual or non-sexual). - Before playing, all parties must give enthusiastic consent. Being able to say no is just as important as being able to say yes. Know your yes’s and your boundaries and limits, and communicate them. - Do not pressure, or try to convince anyone to do something they do not give an enthusiastic yes to. - Before playing, check-in with your partner(s) about your STI risk status and the utilization of safer sex materials. - Only take pictures or video with the full consent of all involved. That means making sure no one is in the background without having consented! Additional consent is required to share or post any content outside of with other attendees on the event channel on The Gay Barn’s Discord server. - No bodily fluids on the furniture! Use the chuck pads provided. - If you wear heels, keep them off the furniture. - Clean and wipe down surfaces with a disinfectant wipe after use. - Do not police or question anyone's gender identity or sexual orientation. - We ask that you not engage in play around/containing racism, homophobia, or transphobia. - There is no smoking, incense, art supplies, glitter, food play, messy play, open fire (i.e. no wax), or SILICONE LUBE allowed in the facility. Water-based lube is provided. - No choking or breath play. No piss, scat, or vomit play. - Needle play is allowed for experienced needle enthusiasts. No blood play beyond play piercing. Provide your own sharps container. - Be respectful when watching a scene to not disturb the people playing. Do not interrupt anyone’s scene unless there is a genuine and immediate safety concern. - Should you feel triggered by a scene, please seek care for yourself. If you anticipate that you will need extra emotional support or someone to process your feelings with, make arrangements with a friend who knows you outside of the event that you can call or message if needed. - Please no processing, personal emotional drama, or whining about disappointments allowed in the designated play party spaces. Consider how your energy affects others and respect the intention and vibes of the play space. - If something appears to be unsafe or non-consensual, alert Emma or Billy ASAP - Don’t forget to seek out your enthusiastic yes’s! Do what feels authentically right for you in the moment - and not what you think you should be doing, or what you think other people think you should be doing. Put yourself out there and try to make things happen - but don’t take it personally if this isn’t the right time/place for a certain scene. If you came in with a very specific goal that remains elusive, be open to new possibilities of fun you had not planned for! - This is not a sober event, and substances are welcome, so please use responsibly! The rules of consent always apply, and intoxication negates consent. We trust you all to take care of yourselves, and each other. - Be respectful of the space! This is a working dungeon and we will leave it as good as we find it. Toys you see out are available for play, but do not open any drawers or cabinets or use anything private. If you’re not sure, ask Emma. - Emma is in charge and is ultimately responsible for the space. Follow her directions as well as these rules. Anyone who violates these rules or does not follow directions may be asked to leave. - See Sub Rosa's Facility Use Agreement and Rules at SubRosaPDX.com/facilityuseagreement
