With an incredible view, a private dock for sunning and lake jumps, fire pit, plenty of private outdoor space and indoor play areas, plus an outdoor hot tub - Slag Cabin is the perfect spot for a couple dozen homos to get freaky and let loose.

The Gay Barn will bring the dungeon atmosphere for nighttime play parties, all the good food, and some fun and sexy daytime activities. Join us for a HOLEsome good time!

Party & Property Info

Homos Take the Lake begins Friday evening May 1st, and runs through Monday morning May 4th. There are options for indoor beds and camping, as well as room for an RV. The spacious private property features stunning views of Mayfield Lake, a private dock (with rope swing!), canoe, a large deck with a steamy hot tub, and a big outdoor area with open grassy spots and towering trees, picnic tables, a fire pit, and fun accents like a tire swing, horseshoe pit, and tetherball to complete the camp vibes. The main house (aka Slag Cabin) has an open-plan common area that becomes our dungeon, the main kitchen, and one guest bedroom with two queen beds. A separate back cabin hosts more indoor sleepers in two bedrooms, plus a common area sofa bed. There are 11 indoor spots available, as well as 15(ish) outdoor camping spots. Campers have access to all indoor common areas and bathrooms. The main house and back cabin each have a full bathroom, plus another half bathroom in a separate outdoor facility (a regular bathroom, not an outhouse!). Your hosts Billy and Emma and a trusty helper crew will serve up home cooked vegan/vegetarian meals from the main kitchen, with the back cabin kitchen available for indoor guest use. Parking is available onsite. Cell service can be spotty on the property, and there is no wifi! Each night the dungeon will be set up for play -- and everyone is free to play during the day as well (inside or outside). We provide candles for wax play at the fire pit on the first night after the opening circle. We also bring a small collection of toys available for use (plus supplies). During the day, explore the lake or take a cold plunge, relax under the trees, try out Billy's throwing knives, or choose your own adventure. Like we always say at The Gay Barn -- do what you want!

Registration Process

Homos Take the Lake is only for vetted, invited guests. Start the process by completing the application/vetting form at the bottom of this page. We will respond as soon as possible with an invitation (or other follow up) email. Add TheGayBarn@proton.me to your contacts to make sure it doesn't end up in the spam folder! Once you receive your invitation email, there are two options. Pay in full and the ticket is yours! Or, pay the $100 non-refundable deposit to reserve your ticket, with the remainder due within 30 days to fully secure your spot at HTL. Please note that an invitation alone does not reserve your ticket; you must pay the non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot.

Cancellation Policy

The $100 deposit is non-refundable.

Starting April 1st, ALL SALES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

That means, a cancellation made for any reason before April 1st, will receive a refund for any amount paid made beyond the $100 non-refundable deposit.

For a cancellation made for any reason on April 1st or later, NO REFUND will be available.

COVID and Safety

All attendees are required to show a negative rapid COVID test taken on the day of the event. You must provide your own test. Please stay home if you have been exposed to COVID or are experiencing symptoms of illness.  We encourage the use of safer sex supplies. The Gay Barn provides gloves, condoms, and chucks, as well as disinfectant cleaning supplies for surfaces.

Accessibility Info

Some steps are required to access the main house and the back cabin. There are steep, uneven stairs down to the dock. There are no hand rails by the toilets, and no safety bars in the showers. The lawn has some uneven spots. We use red lights in the dungeon and/or other areas. Music in the dungeon plays at a moderately loud level. We can meet most dietary restrictions/requirements. Smoking is allowed outdoors. We do not require masking at the event but we do test all participants for Covid. Anyone who wants to mask is of course welcome to do so. There will be hand sanitizer around for everyone to use. Please let us know if you have any questions on accessibility or specific needs, and we will do our best to answer.

Food and Drinks

The Gay Barn provides snacks, coffee, tea, and meals, included with all tickets. We serve dinner Friday, and lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. All the food we provide is vegan with some vegetarian options. Gluten-free or other dietary requirements are available as needed. Guests may bring their own food, snacks, and drinks. Indoor guests may use the fridge and kitchen in the back cabin. Campers must bring a cooler to store their food. There is a grill available. This is not a sober event - but please use substances responsibly. Intoxication negates consent. We trust you all to take care of yourselves, and each other.

Tickets

Tickets are priced on a sliding scale. Each ticket is for one person to attend HTL - (i.e. each camper needs their own ticket even if sharing a tent). All tickets include meals and snacks.
